I'm trying to communicate bi-directionally with my HI 2151/30WC using RS-232 protocols. I read and followed the specifications mentioned in section 4 of the manual but I was unable to succeed. Here are the parameters that the instrument is set at:
Ser Con = Bi-dir;
Baud = 9600;
Parity = None;
Stop = 1 bit;
Length = 8 bits;
Format = Net only and in continuous print mode;
Control = Software;
Echo = Off; Address = 10;
How do you communicate bi-directionally with a HI 2151/30WC?
I need to use the weight in my tank as a reference point and do a C2® calibration. How do I know that value is accurate if I suspect that my system is out of calibration in the first place?
I want to develop an application in Visual Basic to communicate with my HI 3000 series controller via a PC.
Can I use either the -MB or the HI 3000-OPC options?
What should I do if my empty weight does not return to zero? I think one of my load cells may be damaged. How should I troubleshoot to determine if this is a load cell or a mechanical problem?
I am trying to install a Hardy Instrument and there are 9 wires:
2 for signal, 2 for excitation, 2 for C2®, 2 for sense and a shield wire.
What are the 2 sense wires for?
I'm trying to map values using DeviceNet and an HI 4060. The HI 4060 is at address 10 and shows as connected on the DeviceNet network. I have set the HI 4060 for slave mode and I am polling it with a 1756-DNB/A. I want to map the Net Weights and control to the DeviceNet scanner in the PLC. I also want to set the rate set points from the PLC. At this point I don't care about any other values. How do I set the mapping in the rate controller for this?
I have an application to replace a scale controller that controls two scales. I would like to use a HI 3030 on DeviceNet back to a A-B SLC 5/04. Can I connect two separate scales to a HI 3030 or do I need two HI 3030's? I want to be able to control the scales individually and would also like to do a traditional calibration from each scale.
Our application involves polling the HI 2151/30WC every 32 seconds for net weight. My HI 2151/30WC locks up and fails to communicate. What could be the cause?
