Click Here to Learn More! The only time you will see TAGCLR on the HI 2110WI or the HI 2151/30WC display is when you are resetting the parameters back to factory default settings. For your reference, the procedures to reset to factory default settings are as follows:
1. Remove power and open the HI 2110WI or HI 2151/30WC.
2. Locate the internal dip switches. Slide internal dip-switch S2-8 to ON position and all others to the off position.
3. Reassemble and turn on power.
4. Wait for the system Self-Test to be completed. Once completed, the display will read TAGCLR.
5. Remove power and open the unit again.
6. Locate the internal dip switches. Slide internal dip-switch S2-8 back to the OFF position.
7. Reassemble and turn on power. Your memory is now at factory default setting.
If the S2-8 switch is in the off position and you are still seeing TAGCLR you may have a bad SMM. To check this, power down the unit and pull out the SMM. Power the unit back up without the SMM. If the unit boots up without showing the TAGCLR, then your SMM is bad. If you are still getting the TAGCLR message then the unit needs to be sent in for an evaluation. The part number for a SMM is 0519-0512-06.
