New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More!On the Hardy instruments, if the weight doesn't change even after you have calibrated the scale or module, check the following:
1. Verify the millivolt signal from the load cells is a positive value.
2. Verify the millivolt level increases when you apply weight to the load cells.
3. Verify the Sense volts are present, normally 5 vdc (10 vdc on the HI 2151/20WC or the HI 1771WS).
4. If you are using a HI 2151/20WC and C2® or soft calibration, check that there is a sticker value installed within the soft calibration menu.
5. Verify the graduation size is small enough to show a weight change.
6. The Linear Correction may be at zero (0). A linear correction technical write up on our web site will help explain the different possible error conditions. Go to Hardy Web Tech and perform a search on the words "linear correction".
7. Make sure you are placing weight on the scale system attached to the weight controller you are monitoring.
8. Check for bad or incorrect calibration values.
9. Verify that the load cell mount shipping brackets have been removed.
Defective hardware, load cells, mounting hardware, or a faulty weight controller could also be to blame.
