Click Here to Learn More! This type of problem normally indicates a network problem. If you have noise on the network it can interfere with the communications between nodes and the master. Check to ensure your cabling is away from high voltage cables (35v or higher) and that the shields are connected to a proper ground. Also, verify you have the proper termination for the network.
There was an early version of firmware in the HI 200DNWM module that RSNetworx for DeviceNet had a problem recognizing. Version 2.7, released in Oct, 2004, corrected this issue. If you have an earlier version of firmware you can contact Hardy to request an upgraded version.
To check your version of firmware, you need to remove the cover of the unit and look at the EPROM in possition U8,with a label that has the software number 0650-0098 on it. This label will also have the version on it.
NOTE: Version 1.8 was for a Series A module and ver. 2.x is for a Series B module. The above stated problem was only on the Series B modules.
