New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More!If your HI 2151/30WC or HI 2110WI continuously reboots, take the following steps:
Power the unit down. Disconnect all connectors and remove the secure memory module from the back of the instrument. Then power back up. If the display is normal, then reinstall the connectors one at a time. Cycle the power after adding each connector to test. Many times, a miss-wired load cell will halt the startup process.
If adding the Secure Memory Module (SMM) causes the display to freeze on "Hardy", you will want to set the memory back to factory default settings. This process returns the instrument to factory default parameters.
Ram Clear Procedures:
1. Remove power from the weight controller.
2. Open the weight controller.
3. Locate the internal dip switches.
4. Place internal dip switch #8 in the on position.
5. Assemble the weight controller.
6. Supply power to the weight controller.
7. Wait for the system self-test to be completed. (The display will read TAGCLR)
8. Remove power from the weight controller.
9. Open the weight controller.
10. Place internal dip switch #8 in the off position.
11. Assemble the weight controller.
12. Supply power to the weight controller.
Your memory is now returned to factory default settings.
Another problem that could cause a "stuck on HARDY" condition would be a loose option card. Power down the instrument and access the internal electronics of the instrument. Insure that the option card (if any) is seated properly in the socket. Press down on the prom (designated U2 on the main controller board) and reseat in its socket.
If the preceding recommendations do not rectify the problem, then the instrument must be returned to the factory for repair. There is a factory repair submission form on the www.hardysolutions.com web site, go to Support center, and Factory Repairs. Submit the completed form and a Return Authorization number will be returned to you via email.
