New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More! The probable cause for the ERROR 62 on your HI 2151/30WC is a load cell that is mounted improperly, mislabeled, or was programmed incorrectly. The ERROR 62 indicates an information comparison error. Your HI 2151/30WC reads all the C2® chip information at power up. During C2® calibration, each load cell's information is compared with the information read from the other load cells. If the information is not an exact match, ERROR 62 is displayed.
Many load cells may have the same physical size, but will have different capacities. Installing a mixed capacity group of load cells under a scale would provide faulty weight readings and produce an ERROR 62.
Performing the following process can help locate the problem:
1. Power down the HI 2151/30WC and disconnect all but one load cell.
2. Power up and perform a new C2® calibration.
3. Exit the calibration menu, re-enter the calibration menu, and then enter the Soft Cal menu.
4. Write down the Sensitivity and Range parameters under Soft Cal. The range (capacity) data must be identical for each load cell sensor on your weigh system. The Sensitivity does not need to (and probably will not) match exactly, but must be close.
5. Repeat for each load cell and then compare with the data you recorded. If any of the load cells are different than the rest, there is your problem.
You can retrieve calibration certifications for your Hardy Load Cell Sensors on our Online Support webpage. Just enter the serial number.
