Click Here to Learn More!Most of the Hardy instruments are all designed to work with PLC's. The correct model would depend on the application. The following information may help you determine which model suits your application best.
The HI 2110WI, HI 2151/30WC, HI 3030, HI 4050, HI 4060, HI 6300, and HI 6500 are stand alone units with display and keypad the operators can use at their station (the display and keypad is an option on the HI 4050 & HI 4060). These controllers can be configured by the front keypad or over a network connection and can control some processes using the inputs and outputs available. The HI 3030 can control either a single scale, dual scale or four scales.
The Hardy PLC modules include the HI 1746WS, HI 1756 series, HI 1769 series, and the HI 1771WS. Each model Hardy PLC module is designed to work with different types of PLC's. None of these Hardy PLC modules have a display or keypad. These units must be configured through the PLC and ladder logic, and control of your process would be handled by the PLC. The Hardy PLC modules HI 1756 WS, HI 1756 DF and HI 1769 WS, can be either single or dual scale units.
Hardy Instruments line of single-slot PLC weigh scale modules are used in a wide variety of applications that include Batching/Blending, Filling/Dispensing, Check Weighing, Level by Weight, Force measurement, Rate Monitoring.
These PLC modules are self contained microprocessor based I/O modules with control inputs and outputs that are easily designed to be easily plugged into the back plane of Allen-Bradley® programmable logic controllers.
Modules with either single or dual scale capabilities are available for the following Allen-Bradley PLCs and are all Encompass approved (Hardy is a Rockwell Encompass partner).

The HI 200DNWM, a din rail mountable ODVA “conformance tested” DeviceNet weigh module, is available to transmit data to any type/brand of PLC that supports DeviceNet communications.
Except for the HI 2080, all of the above use WAVERSAVER® to eliminate the effects of vibration on the weight signal, C2® to allow electronic calibration of the weighing system and most have Integrated Technician for system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
The HI 200 DNWM, HI 1771, HI 2110WI and HI 2080 do not have Integrated Technician.
