What is the explanation of relay status, input word 16 on my HI 1746WS?

Question

What is the explanation of the relay status in the input word number 16? I want to monitor the relay bits to control fast and slow feed. I will not be using the TTL outputs to activate relay drivers.

Answer

On the HI 1746WS, the input word 16 is defined as relay status. The HI 1746WS does not have relays, but does have TTL level outputs. Relay status is an indication of whether the setpoint conditions have been met.

Bit 0 = relay 1, bit 1 = relay 2.

If setpoint one condition was met, you would see bit 0 active in word 16.
If setpoint two condition was met, you would see bit 1 active in word 16.
If both setpoints conditions were met, you would see both bits 0 and 1 active in word 16.
