Question

What is the difference between the 0535-0461-04 and the 0535-0461-05 displays? My HI 2151/30WC-WS display is broken and I'm ordering the -05 but I thought that a 2151/30WC-WS used a 2151/30WC-RM controller, just without an enclosure.

Answer

The 0535-0461-04 is a remote mount display card which has the cable for the 26-pin D shell connector. This 26-pin D shell connector can only be connected to the Remote Adapter card on a HI 2151/30WC-RM with the mating 26 pin D shell connector. To order a replacement, use complete assembly number 0519-0514-03.

The old style had a blue or gray 20 pin connector for a ribbon cable. The 0535-0416-02 display's were only used on the very early models of the HI 2151/30WC-RM remote mount units.  To order a replacement, use complete assembly number 0519-0514-01

The 0535-0461-05 is used on the HI 2151/30WC-WS wall mount units. This ribbon cable has a different connector that fits only the PC board edge connector.  When ordering a replacement keyboard, it is a better idea to replace the gasket, keypad, cable and assembly.  To order a replacement, use complete keypad assembly number 0519-0517-02.

A Wall Mount (-WS) is the unit with a display mounted in the front door of a NEMA4 Stainless Steel enclosure. When you open the front door you will see the electronics. The Remote Mount unit only has the display extended 5 feet from the extrusion which contains the electronics. The extrusion is mounted on the back wall of a cabinet and the display is cut into the door panel.
