New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More!Hardy Control-Link is available on the HI 3000 series units, which include the HI 3030, and HI 3010 controllers using the standard Ethernet TCP/IP port. These controller models have addressable nodes, 0-15, and can perform peer-to-peer communications for the purpose of control, sharing equipment assets, and transferring information and status to a central communications processor.
This peer to peer communications is not available on the HI4000 series.
To utilize this feature the user would enter the IP address, for the unit to talk to, into the Hardy Control-Link address table. Find this table by going online with the units' browser and clicking on "Configuration>Hardy Control-Link". You would enter the addresses for all units to transfer data to/from to this unit. You must fill in the Hardy Control-Link table in all units.
Once you have the addresses entered, you would need to go to the mapping page(s) and map the data being transferred. Your selections would be found under the Network pull down menu and Hardy Control-Link and select the node you want to send the data to, or get the data from.
NOTE: In the unit configuration/Instrument Setup section, there is a setting for Hardy Link, that will set the number of transmissions the unit will make per second. This can be set to 55, 11, 1, or reply only. Depending on the number of devices you have on the network this can aid in controlling traffic on the network, which may effect the response time.
The setting defaults to 55 times/sec. The HI 3000 series units can dominate a network if allowed to.
The user should reduce this setting if there are issues with too much traffic on the network.
