What command clears the A/D error on my PLC module?

Question

What command do I have to use to clear fault hex 0001 (Error A/D) on my HI 1746WS, HI 1756WS, HI 1756-2WS, HI 1769WS or HI 1769-2WS?

Answer

On the HI 1746WS, HI 1756WS, HI 1756-2WS, HI 1769WS or HI 1769-2WS, the A/D converter error is an indication that the input from the load cells is out of range. The modules can only read an input between 0 to 15mV. If the input from the load cells is out of this range then the unit will show the status 0001 error indication. There is no command to clear this, but rather it is a hardware issue and you need to correct the problem with the load cell system.

Another possible cause of this error is if you are missing the connection between the Excitation and Sense. If you do not have Sense lines from the unit to the summing box then you need to have a jumper between the +Exc and +Sen and another jumper between -Exc and -Sen. If this reference voltage is not on the Sense connections then you will get this error.
