New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More! The configuration chosen, 32W I/O 16 W blocks or 16 W I/O 8W blocks etc., determines the maximum length of the read/write communication to the unit. Example: you cannot set the unit up as 16 W I/O and then try to read 20 words.
When you do a block transfer, the data will start in the first word of the mapped addresses for the unit and continue for the requested number of words for that block. Example: the unit is set up as 16 Words I/O and these are mapped into PQW256 - PQW287 and PIW256 - PIW287.
Any writes you do to the unit would start in PQW256. Data read back from the unit would start in PIW256.
Attached is a file set up for a HI 2151/30WC that may get you started. You can also use this file as an example for the HI 2110WI or the HI 2160RC.
