How is a HLPS load sensor and mount assembled?

Last updated 01/13/2014 10:24 AM

Question

Can you help me understand how the Advantage HLPS (with HI SBH04 load sensor and mounting hardware) is assembled?

Answer

The HI SBH04 load sensor is part of our HLPS Advantage Series load points and comes in the following standard capacities:

1125 lb
2.25 klb
4.5 klb
11.25 klb
22.5 klb

In the HI HLPS Advantage series, a single load sensor is designated as a HI SBH04 -XXX (with the XXX as capacity). A load point is comprised of a load sensor and the mounting hardware. You can purchase a three legged system using this load sensor, which is designated as a HI 3SXXX-43 (with XXX as the total capacity of all 3 load sensors combined). You can also purchase a four legged system using this load sensor, which is designated as a HI 4SXXX-43 (with XXX as the total capacity of all 4 load sensors).

The only spares offered, besides the load sensor and mount assembly, are the loading rocker pin assemblies. They come with the O-ring, duster, and felt protector ring.

Please view the attached pdf animations to better understand how the HI SBH04 load sensor, including the load point mounting hardware is assembled. We attached Adobe Acrobat PDF files for the Fixed, Bumper, and Slider type of mounts and animated them to help you better understand how they are assembled.

Please note that only the Fixed assembly is shown with Shipping Brackets (the Bumper and Slider Assemblies do not show the Shipping Brackets).  Shipping brackets must be removed for the final.  Ground straps must be installed and provide a path for the vessel to ground.  If you vessel is sitting on concrete, a alternate ground needs to be discovered.

You must have Adobe Reader 8.1.1 or higher to view the animation. You can download the latest version of Adobe Reader at www.adobe.com.
