How do I upgrade the firmware in my 6000 series unit?

PROCEDURE TO UPLOAD FIRMWARE UPGRADES IN THE HI 6300, HI 6310, HI 6500, AND HI 6600 Gateway CONTROLLERS:

Note: There is no guarantee that setup and calibration data will remain unchanged during your update process. On a rare occasions it may be necessary to verify the configuration and re-map the controller after a software update.

The latest firmware files can be found on the products page for each of the HI 6000 series products.  These files will be titled with the series number:  ie: HI 6300.bin, HI 6310.bin, HI 6500.bin, and HI 6600.bin.

Note: There are two different files for the 6300 & 6310 units.  Ensure you have the file for the unit you are upgrading as the incorrect file will not load.  If the incorrect file is attempted to load, it could cause corruption problems in the unit and may require the unit to be sent back to the factory for correction.

NOTE:  There are other instructions for updating the HI 6110 Display firmware (applies to all 6000 series units) and the HI 6610 (Weigh Processor Modules (WPM)) units.
