How do I setup Ethernet I/P on my HI 4050?

Setting up the Ethernet I/P in the HI 4050 requires the entry of an IP address and then mapping the desired data into the Ethernet I/P network table.

Steps for setting the I/P address are:
1. Press the enter key
2. Down arrow to "Instrument Setup"
3. Press the enter key
4. Up arrow to "Ethernet"
5. Press the enter key
6. Make necessary changes to the IP address
7. Press the enter key
8. Press exit key repeatedly until back to normal display screen

NOTE: The unit will need to be powered off and back on to utilize the new IP address. Once the I/P address is set, you will need to go online using the HI 4050 browser, through the TCP/IP connection, and do the necessary mapping of data to transfer over the Ethernet I/P network.

If your unit is a "blind" unit (a unit without a keypad or display), the IP address needs to be changed using the "IPSetup" program. This program allows you to view the units on the network and make changes to the Ethernet setup. You will need to cycle power after you make any changes.
