Question

How do I re-enter the sticker value on my HI 2160RC, HI 1771WS, or HI 2151/20WC?

Answer

The Sticker Value is a number used to normalize the gain of the weight controller for C2® Second Generation Calibration and Soft-Cal. The sticker value for each instrument is stored in the on board Secure Memory Module (SMM). If the SMM is erased (RAM Clear), replaced, or swapped between instruments, it is necessary to re-enter the sticker value. If C2® Second Generation Calibration or Soft-Cal is performed with a sticker value of 0, the weight display will always indicate 0. Any number multiplied by 0 is 0. If the correct value is not known, it can be found on a paper sticker attached to the analog/digital board.

The value is always a six digit number, starting with the number 3.

The sticker value is entered into the Soft-Cal portion of the calibration menu. To enter the sticker value on a HI 2160RC or a HI 2151/20WC perform the following steps:

Enter the calibration menu.
Down arrow to CAL.
Press Enter.
Up arrow to S CAL.
Press Enter.
Down arrow to STICKR.
Press Enter.
Press Test/Clr
Enter the new value using the numeric keys.
Press Enter.
Down arrow to return.
Press Enter.
Down arrow to ENDCAL
Press Enter.

When the memory is cleared in the HI 1771WS module, the "Sticker Value" is also cleared. If you use either the C2® calibration or Soft calibration you will need to re-enter the "Sticker Value" back into the module.

To enter the sticker value on a HI 1771WS perform the following steps:

Place the "Sticker Value", (six digit number on label located on the back edge of the board) into the Motion Tolerance location in the write buffer, 3 digits per location. So the most significant 3 digits would go into the first location and the least significant 3 digits would go into the second word location for the Motion Tolerance. Place a decimal value "9999" into the WAVERSAVER® location and "8321" in the Weight Modes location. Trigger the write block.

Reset above values back to normal. You can now proceed with the C2® or Soft calibration.
