How do I get a new Secure Memory Module?

To order a new Secure Memory Module (SMM) for your weight controller, please call the Hardy Service Center (HSC) at 800-821-5831 (option #2) or 858-278-2900 (option #2) and specify which model Hardy Weight Controller needs the SMM.


HI 2151/30WC (Series) Secure Memory Module (SMM)
The HI 2151/30WC (Series) Secure Memory Module stores critical configuration, calibration, and setup data (excluding Peak Hold) and protects the controller from corruption. When a new parameter is entered during system operation, the SMM automatically updates that value in its memory. Since the SMM is conveniently accessible from the instruments' rear panel, data stored in one HI 2151/30WC may be restored to another  HI 2151/30WC instrument by physically transferring the SMM.

Please provide HSC with the model and serial number of your HI 2151/30WC (Series) controller. If you have any options in your existing HI 2151/30WC (Series) controller, you will need to let us know which options you have, and the original purchase order for reference.

     NOTE 1:  The HI 2151/30WC SMM is limited to 1,000,000 lift-time write functions. A write is performed after any parameter change to the calibration, zero, and tare functions.
     NOTE 2:  Do not "hot swap" SMM's or your option data will be erased.
     NOTE 3:  The SMM's in the HI 2151/30WC and HI 2151/20WC instruments are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.


HI 3000 (Series) Secure Memory Module (SMM)
The Secure Memory Module stores and protects vital information from corruption. The SMM also allows the transference of data from one HI 3000 (Series) instrument to another of the same series with no re-calibration or re-configuration necessary.


HI 4000 (Series) Secure Memory Module (SMM - SD)
The Secure Memory Module is a non-volatile secure digital card that stores critical HI 4050 configuration, calibration and setup data, thereby protecting this information from loss and/or corruption. The SD card dramatically increases the HI 4000's non-volatile storage capacity and flexibility. Furthermore the SD card can be read by a PC with an SD card reader. Each controller is equipped with one SD Card.

     NOTE1:  Hardy supports Hardy branded SD cards as well as most FAT and FAT32 formatted SD cards to a maximum size of 2GB capacity for older units and 16 GB for newer units.  Check with Hardy Tech Support for specifics on firmware levels.


HI 2110WI Secure Memory Module (SMM)
The Secure Memory Module stores and protects vital information from corruption and calibration. It also allows the transference of data from one HI 2110WI to another, with no re-calibration or re-configuration necessary.
