Click Here to Learn More!If you are purchasing one of the software enabled options in the HI 3000 series units such as DeviceNet, Modbus, or Rate of Change, you will need to enter the Key Code into the unit.
All the software enabled options in the HI 3000 series units, which include the HI 3030, HI 3010, and HI 3300, will require the Key Code to be entered in through the TCP/IP connection. You would go online with the unit using Windows Internet Explorer or similar program. Once you are connected to the unit, you would click on the Configuration link, then Option, then the Option selection you are enabling.* Enter the Key Code provided by Hardy Instruments for that serial number unit and that option. Once entered, you would save the entry.
Attached is a PDF file showing how to do this for DeviceNet on the HI 3030. All other options for the HI 3030 and other 3000 series units will follow the same format as shown in this file.
*The DeviceNet is standard on the HI 3010, so you will not find an entry for a Key Code for this option.
NOTE: Each Key Code is unit serial number and option dependant so will only work on the unit it was created for.
Some option pages may have other parameters for you to set for the configuration of that option. These other parameters may be set up either from the browser page or from the front panel. You cannot enter the Key Code through the front panel of the HI 3000 series units.
