How do I C2® calibrate my HI 2151/30WC or HI 2110WI?

Answer

The C2® Calibration Menu guide is located in the HI 2151/30WC or the HI 2110WI Installation and Operation manuals Chapter 6. You can download the latest revision manual from our website at www.hardysolutions.com under products/ select the instrument desired and click on Docs and Programs.  There is an attachment that illustrates the calibration routine.

NOTE: When calibrating the instrument for the first time, go from one sub-menu to the next sub-menu in sequence. If you want to change only some of the sub-menus, continue to press the "Up Arrow/4" button until you reach the sub-menu(s) you want to change.

NOTE: After entering a value in each sub-menu. Pressing ENTER will flash a GOOD if the value is accepted. If the value is not accepted the display will flash an ERR # statement.

1. To enter the calibration menu make sure the controller is in Gross Mode.
2. Press the "Cal" button. Security Code (SEC CD) is displayed.
3. Press the "Enter" button. A flashing zero (0) appears.
4. Enter the security code number "5321".
5. Press "Enter". The word UNIT appears.
6. Note three LED (Zero Track, Motion, and CTR Zero) start to flash on the left side of the status display.
7. Press the "Down Arrow/9" until CAL appears and press "Enter".

NOTE: Select and perform one calibration process only. C2® Calibration is only possible with Hardy Process Solutions Load Cells/Sensors or Points.

C2® Second Generation Calibration Procedures:

1. From the CAL menu, press the "Down Arrow/9" button. The C2® CAL sub-menu appears.
2. Press the "Enter" button. The Load Cell Count PLC CT sub-menu appears.
3. Checking the Load Cell Count
4. Press the "Enter" button. The Reference Point REF PT sub-menu appears.

NOTE: The controller can detect up to 8 C2® load point/cells on one vessel. The load points/cells are detected only during power-up.

5. Setting the Reference Point (REF PT)
a. Press the "Enter" button.
b. (A dash "-" appears)

WARNING: If you press enter at this time the calibration will not be completed.

c. Press the "Test/Clr" button to clear the current entry.
d. A (numeric zero) "0.0" appears.
e. Use the numeric keys to enter a reference weight or use the default reference weight "0" by pressing the "Enter" button.

NOTE: Any known weight within the scale range can be used as the reference weight. The recommended and default value is zero (0).

6. Press the "Enter" button. The RETURN display appears.
7. If you want to accept the C2® Calibration parameters press the "Enter" button. The End Calibration END CAL message is displayed.
8. Press the "Enter" button again. This seals all calibration settings and exits the C2® Calibration Menu.
9. The instrument returns to the normal weight display.

NOTE: If the Enter button is not pushed after End Cal appears, three LED's will flash indicating that the settings are not sealed in memory.
