New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More! The HI 3010 inputs are activated through the mapping menus. Basic mapping can be performed via the front keypad and display. For more advanced and complex mapping you must use the EtherNet TCP/IP web browser communications port and a computer.
The five inputs are used with dry contact closure inputs between the input number and common. Use shielded twisted pair cable and keep the overall length as short as possible (25 feet would be maximum). Route these remote input wires away from high voltage (anything over 50 volts is considered high voltage).
WARNING: Do not apply power to these inputs! The function of the input is to take the 5vdc present at the input terminal to the controller logic ground. That is controller logic ground and not earth ground. These inputs can be mapped to be any active input listed in the mapping menu and across nodes. This means you could have a input into the 1st of 15 controllers connected with the EtherNet and that single input could start the process on all 15 controllers. This can also include one controller waiting for the next controller condition to change and then start. You could also have an unrelated process state sent across communications and back. This is I/O and not limited to the HI 3010 application.
Examples are:

Refill Low
Proof switch inputs
Ok to discharge
