How can I tell if the processor lost communications with the HI 1756WS?

There are two indications you can monitor to determine if your HI 1756WS or HI 1756-2WS is communicating properly with your PLC processor.

When communications fails the weight and time stamp data freezes. If you monitor this data and it is not changing at all then communications have been lost.

Also, when the HI 1756WS communications stops, the "STATUSWORD", LOCAL:x:I.Data[0], will go to a value of -1.

Beyond this, there are Rockwell Logix instructions that you can run to give you an indication for a loss of the module. For more information on these instructions, you need to refer to Rockwell programming manuals or contact Rockwell support.
