HI 4050 Serial Output Setup

The serial port on the HI 4050 is an RS 232 printer port, or can be set up for continuous output to a scoreboard display or printer.

The HI 4050 serial port is not bi-directional. It is only an output. You cannot use RS232 as an input to zero or tare the scale. If your HI 4050 does not have any of the available communication options, you can use the input connection on the back panel for a pushbutton input, or you can use the TCP/IP capabilities and map using a scratchpad.
