New HIDS Drum Scales!
Click Here to Learn More! The calibration of any scale system is performed in the weight controller, you do not calibrate the load cells. You should verify that the load cells and mounts are installed properly and used in accordance with the manufacturers specifications.
The procedure to calibrate your system depends on the model of weight controller you use. The calibration frequency is dictated by your own corporate procedures (check with your QA department), but accuracy should be verified whenever you think your scale may have an accuracy or zero problem.
How long can you go with a scale that is out of calibration? To insure production is receiving the correct amount, perform tests more often than you think. Then as results are found to not change, adjust the time period between testing to insure you capture changes. Always verify and correct, rather than just walk up and re calibrate the scale. You will only mask a problem.
We have posted manuals for our current line of instruments on our website at http://hardysolutions.com. Select by Product> controller model and then Docs and programs. Each manual has a calibration section for your review.
All Hardy load cells come with calibration certificates that provide data recorded when the load cells is manufactured. You cannot re-calibrate your load cells. If you need a copy of your Hardy Load Cell calibration certificate go to our website at http://www.hardysolutions.com/support-center/online-certification-tool/view , and enter your Hardy Load Cell Serial Number.
