Could there be a conflict between M0 and M1 on my HI 1746WS and other modules?

Last updated 01/26/2016 04:35 AM

Question

One of my systems utilizes two HI 1746WS modules in a local rack with a 1747-SCNR ControlNet scanner communicating to a remote rack. A different system is using a 1747-SN to Block transfer Analog via MO and MI. Both the HI 1746WS and either coms module would need to utilize MO and MI file of the Local racks memory. Would there be a conflict?

Answer

The M files are located within each specific module, not in the PLC. Therefore, there are no images of the M files within the processor and so would not conflict in any way with other modules. Since the M files are located in the modules, they would not be depleting the memory within the processor.
