Can you explain the parameter settings for the HI 4060 Remote Setpoint Input?

Question

I wish to use the Remote Setpoint Input on the HI 4060 unit, however I want the new setpoint to be a percentage of the master flow rate sending the signal. Can you explain the parameter settings for the Remote Setpoint Input to accomplish this?

Answer

In the HI 4060 RC unit, the Remote Setpoint Input allows the user to set up:
1. The input type, either voltage or current.
2. Input range, 0-5v, 0-10v, 0-20ma, or 4-20ma.
3. Set the limits of the setpoint settings.
4. Set the limits within the range of the analog input.
5. Filtering (averages) to limit reactions to spikes on the analog signal.
6. +/- window to define minimum changes that will be used for a new setpoint.

The SP HI & LO weight/time will define the minimum and maximum limits of the setpoint.

The Input HI% and LO% will set the limits within the range of the analog input that will be used.

The Averages will average the desired number of updates of the analog input signal to dampen any spikes in the signal.

The Input range is the selection of what type (v or ma) and range of your analog input.

The SP Window will determine the minimum amount of change in the setpoint that will trigger a change in the setpoint.  This will prevent noise on the analog input from causing fluctuations in your setpoint.
