Can I enter a reference point other than zero on the HI 200DNWM?

Last updated 10/09/2014 05:07 AM

Question

I want to do C2® calibration with a HI 200DNWM while having live weight in the vessel. How do I tell the system what the live weight is as a reference?

Answer

There are two different versions of the HI 200DNWM (Device Net Weigh Module) module, Series A and Series B.

NOTE: Series A modules will not be marked as a Series A. If a module is not labeled Series B, then it is a Series A.

C2® calibration on a Series A HI 200DNWM uses zero for the reference point. There is no way to give it a different reference point. Any time a C2® calibration is done the module assumes an empty scale.

C2® calibration on a Series B HI 200DNWM uses the Calibration Low Weight for the reference point. This allows you to use a value other than zero for the reference point. In this instance, you would set the Cal Low Weight value to the amount of live weight you have in your vessel.
