Question

Can a PDA control an HI 3000 series controller?

Answer

Due to constant upgrades in the various models of PDA's, we can no longer support the software needed to connect a HI 3000 series (which includes the HI 3010, HI 3030, HI 3300 and the HI 3600) to a PDA. If you have an older PDA, it may work with the original PDA software.  The attached file has the different versions of the PDA software for the older PDA's, depending on which 3000 series unit you have.  If this does not work on your PDA, then you cannot use the PDA to control your HI 3000 series controller.

If the PDA can connect with any of the HI 3000 series controllers, it would do so through the IR port located on the front of the unit. This will allow your PDA to have complete front panel control. This is normally used for a blind unit (no display or keypad) or as data collection to pick up data from the unit and store it on the PDA.
