The HI 3010 target weight is monitored during the jog cycle and will signal the feeder to stop when target is reached. To help speed up the cycles of jog you may want to have longer jog ON cycles. Every time you go into jog OFF, the jog OFF timer acts like a wait timer to insure the product is out of motion and settled. These wait times add up to increase your individual fill times. So a single long jog ON time will help eliminate multiple waits. The wait cycle, after it has reached target weight, will still allow additional jog cycles if the weight settles below the Target Window minimum setting.
Selecting the proper length of jog ON is dependent on the feeder. The slow feed rate is selected and will trickle in the material. If the trickle rate increases to an unsatisfactory rate as time extends, then select shorter jog ON times and more jog times.
The Smart Auto Preact program can make adjustments so you do not see JOGs. The JOG program uses the Slow feed out to make those last adjustments. If your slow feed is overshooting and you are using a dual speed system, try increasing the fast fill speed and decrease the slow fill speed. The idea is to have fast fill filling as close as possible and never overfill, then utilize the slow fill for a minimum amount of time.
