When do I need to update the firmware on my HI 1756WS module?

I'm going to update my AB ControlLogix PLC from version 8.02 to 11.32. Will my HI 1756WS module with version 1.1 firmware still operate correctly without a firmware update?

Yes, your HI 1756WS module with version 1.1 firmware should still operate correctly without a firmware update. 
We have used AB ControlLogix versions with only one problem.  That issue was the condition of the HI 1756 WS module is in a remote chassis and the system was a ControlNet network using the new 1756-CN2 modules.  When in this configuration, the Hardy 1756 WS module will not communicate with older versions of firmware.  This would require version 2.3 or higher in the Hardy module.
