What is the difference between Series A and Series B on the HI 200DNWM?

There are two versions of the HI 200DNWM, Series A and Series B. Check your label to see if it is a Series B. If not, then it is a Series A. Series A units have a software release of 1.xx and the Series B is 2.xx. The numbering scheme is continued through to include the two EDS files. The firmware version is viewable using properties under RS Networx. The Series A module use the 1.EDS file and the Series B use the hi200.eds file. Both Series A and Series B are compatible for use on the same network, only they must have the proper EDS file installed.

The Series A unit uses explicit messaging and has polled output for Net weight only.

The series B was improved to have the same explicit messaging, but an expanded polled messaging to include all commands and readings.
