What is Hardy C2 cable?

Last updated 01-04-2021 07:09

Question

What is Hardy C2 cable and what are its specifications?

Answer

Hardy C2 cable is an eight conductor shielded cable designed to work with Hardy instruments, Hardy C2 load cells and Integrated Technician summing cards.
This cable has two wires designated for the C2 connection.  This allows the Hardy instrument to 'read' the programmed data from the Hardy C2 load cells and the Hardy Integrated Technician (IT) summing cards.
C2 load cells allow the user to perform a calibration without the need for test weights.  This allows for easy calibration, especially on larger scales.
The IT summing cards allow the user to run an IT test to capture data on single load cells out of a group of multiple load cells.  This helps with troubleshooting a scale to determine if there are bad load cells.
