Should I buy a JB option now if I plan to upgrade my HI 3030 to 4 channels later?

If I buy a one channel 3030 with plans to upgrade to 4 channels in the future, should I buy a JB (single scale-four load cell input) option when I buy the one channel unit?

If you are going to upgrade a single channel weight controller to a multi channel weight controller later, there would not be any advantage to buying the JB option prior to getting the 4 channel board. If you upgrade, the JB option board is removed, discarded and not used in the upgraded controller. The JB option is an internal summing junction box. It would be replaced with the multi scale daughter card during the upgrade, and you would then need to purchase a HI 215JB or the HI 215IT summing junction box. 

We recommend if you buy the single channel scale controller and HI 215JB or the HI 215IT summing junction box. When you add the multi-scale upgrade later. You will need to purchase the HI 215JB or the HI 215IT summing junction box for each channel, plus C2 certified cable from the HI 215JB or the HI 215IT summing cards to the HI 3030.
