Restoring calibration on a HI 2151/30WC

Last updated 01-26-2016 03:24

Question

How can I restore the calibration on my HI 2151/30WC?

Answer

CAUTION:

This procedure should only be used to restore known good traditional or hard calibration parameters on your HI 2151/30WC. If you used C2 calibration, just redo the C2 calibration.  This is not a substitution for the calibration procedures outlined in the manual.

1. Prior to performing the following steps use previously recorded settings from self-test menus; the SPAN, Zr cnt, and FS cnt. The default setting in this hard cal submenu is not current and using incorrect settings will spoil your calibration. A common practice is to record these numbers after verifying the scale is weighing correctly. Then if the need arises you have a backup for a quick calibration recovery.

2. Check configuration entries for correct decimal position against the original parameters and enter the CALIBRATION menus until CAL is displayed.

3. (With CAL displayed)

4. Press: ENTER - Hd CAL now displayed

5. Press the MODE button (front display panel) - Zr cnt now displayed

6. Press ENTER - Displays current value

7. Press TST/CLR and Enter Zr cnt value

8. Press ENTER - SPAn displayed

9. Press ENTER - Displays current value

10. Press TST/CLR and Enter SPAN value

11. Press ENTER - FS cnt displayed

12. Press ENTER - Displays current value

13. Press TST/CLR and Enter Fs cnt value

14. Press ENTER - RETURN displayed

15. Press ENTER - ENDCAL displayed

16. Press ENTER - Current weight is displayed *
