Is there a direct replacement for the 1771-WS?

There is not a direct replacement for the HI 1771WS module for the PLC 5 system. 
BUT.
Hardy has several different solution instruments that perform the same functions as the HI 1771 WS module did.  By combining a new controller and communications, the I/O and ladder logic in the PLC 5 can be utilized.  The only difference is how the weight reading is received into the PLC 5 logic. 
You can replace the application using a different Hardy controller.

These are:
PLC Plug in Modules:
1.  HI 1756-WS; This module fits into the ControlLogix PLC platform.  This module is also available in a two channel version, HI 1756-2WS.
2.  HI 1769-WS; This module fits into the Compact Logix or the Micro Logix 1500 platform.  This module is also available in a two channel version, HI 1769-2WS.
3.  HI 1746-WS; This module fits into the SLC platform.
Weight Controllers:
4.  HI 4050; This unit is a stand alone unit that performs the same functions as the HI 1771 WS.  This is available with or without a display and has several different communications options for connecting to the PLC.  These include: Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, RIO, Modbus RTU, and Modbus over Ethernet.  It also has output options DIO available like Analog Output (0-10v or 4-20 ma).
5.  HI 3030; This unit is a stand alone unit that has the same functionality as the HI 4050, however it can be purchased as a single channel, duel channel or four channel unit.  It has the same communications options available for the HI 4050 except No Modbus RTU and the RIO option is no longer available.
6.  HI 2151/30; This is a stand alone unit also.  This is a single channel with limited communication options.  These would be RIO or serial communications.  Output options can include analog output (0-10 v or 4-20 ma) or BCD.
Weight Indicator:
7.  HI 2110 WI; This is similar to the HI 2151/30 however it does not have the relays or serial port.
