How is a C2® cal performed on a HI 1756WS using the sample program?

Question

Using the RSLogix5000 ladder program for the HI 1756WS module downloaded from Hardy's web page, what is the procedure to perform a C2® calibration? Changing just the Start C2® bit from 0 to 1?

Answer

C2® calibration is easy using the sample program for the HI 1756WS module, which you can download from our website at hardysolutions.com then go to docs & programs tab and find the sample program.

The first step would be to download the parameters, including the Cal Low Weight.

Second step for a C2® calibration would be to toggle the Start C2® bit to on. As long as there were no errors to prevent the calibration from being performed, the Start C2® bit should then go off after several seconds (actual time may vary depending on the load cell system installed).

The third step would be to do a save to non-volatile memory.

Note: If the sample code was copied into your program the slot location for the module may be different and would need to be modified.  The MSG instructions would need to have the path corrected as well.
