How do I set the memory back to factory defaults on my HI 1756WS or HI 1769WS modules?

How can I restore Factory default settings or clear the Random Access Memory (RAM) on my HI 1769WS, HI 1769-2WS, HI 1756WS, or HI 1756-2WS?

If you have a problem and you decide you need to restore your HI 1756WS or HI 1769WS module back to factory default settings, you would need to run the SETDEFAULTPARAMS command.  This is command #148 decimal, or 94 hex.  This will cause the module to reset and re-boot up without loading the saved memory, so it will then be at factory defaults.  Check the associated manual for the module being used to determine how to run this command, or check out the subroutine in the Sample Code written for your module, for this command.

NOTE:  If the module was installed in the RS Logix I/O configuration using the AOP, be aware that once the default values are set, the module could download the AOP configuration values.
