Does the HI 1756WS support user defined data types?

The User Defined Data Types are a function of the RS Logix 5000 software.  However you can create a UDDT and use it to define the tags used in conjunction with the HI 1756 WS module as well as the other Hardy modules designed for the Control Logix and Compact Logix systems.  These include the HI 1756-FC, HI 1756-DF, HI 1769-WS, HI 1769-FC. 
You may also use UDDTs with communications to other Hardy products that communicate with the PLC processors.

A sample program can be downloaded from our web site at hardysolutions.com and the HI 1756-WS products page for the HI 1756-WS module.  Within the sample program, there are several UDDT.  In this sample all the data types are predefined for you for all commands the modules uses.
