Cliquez ici pour en savoir plus !I have an HI 215IT Hardy junction box with a label which reads: "CAUTION: USE ONLY WITH PRODUCTS HAVING IT CAPABILITIES". I've tried to connect different manufacturer load cells using this junction box, but I didn't read any values from the load cells. The load cells I have only have 4 wires, so they do not have C2 nor Integrated Technician (IT) capabilities.
Can I use NON IT / NON C2 load cells with this junction box? I've read that Hardy controllers can work with and without C2 / IT load cells. Do I need a different junction box?
Most balanced bridge load cells (from Hardy or other companies) will work with our standard (JB) or INTEGRATED TECHNICIAN® (IT) Summing Junction Boxes. However, the obsolete HI215IT summing junction box can only be used with Hardy weighing instrument models that have C2® capabilities.
The HI215IT referenced above, is no longer manufactured and is obsolete. However, if you have one of these HI215 summing boards, you can still use them, if you meet the following criteria:
INTEGRATED TECHNICIAN® is not an automated diagnostic tool and requires analysis of the data to determine the scales condition. Using INTEGRATED TECHNICIAN®, you can monitor (from the front panel or through the embedded web browser) the milli Volt level output of each individual load cell/sensor, one at a time.
To utilize the INTEGRATED TECHNICIAN® feature of a HI215IT summing junction box, you must have a Hardy IT capable weighing instrument, an IT capable summing junction box, and certified C2® cable (run between the instrument and the HI215IT junction box). If you don’t have a Hardy IT & C2® capable weighing instrument, then you will not be able to use the HI215IT summing junction box.
Hardy’s current summing junction boards have several versions with INTEGRATED TECHNICIAN® to choose from. These summing boards function just like any other manufacturers summing boards and do not need a C2® connection to operate (the onboard relays are normally open without power applied).
