Can I use HI 3030 with Kistler Morse load cells?

Can I use HI 3030 on a two load cells system with two Kistler Morse, C1-1-03K-X-015-P-UA1 load cells?   We had the load cell installed on the tank long time ago, and we want to replace the Kistler Morse controller with the more advanced HI 3030 without replacing the load cells.

Only the HI 3030 and HI 3010 models have a load sensor input selection of 0 to 120mV/V, which will be required for your Kistler Morse load cells half bridge load cells.  This will only work if you have 2 or 4 Kistler Morse load cells.  Most half bridge load cells have rated outputs of 20 or 30mV/V. Using your HI 3030 web browser, go to Configuration>Calibration and adjust the Sensor Type to 0-120mV/V. You are required to wire your two load cells in series to make a full bridge. See attached document for further information. If you have four load cells, make two sets of full bridge load cells and then install those in  two parallel sets.

Once you make these changes, perform a hard calibration, and the HI 3030 should work just fine with your older load cells.

We provided this information previously to other customers but have not received feedback from any customer who has tried using these load cells with a Hardy HI 3030. Please let us know how it goes. Thanks!
