Can I hot swap my Hardy PLC module?

We do not recommend hot swapping, even if the design allows it, and it may void your warranty. It is easy enough to turn off your PLC system if you need to remove or install a Hardy PLC controller.
The HI 1756-FC, HI 1756-WS and HI 1756-2WS modules that are used in the Control Logix system are hot swappable.  This would allow you to replace/reset one of the modules without powering down the entire PLC system.  However, you should realize that any time you swap something with the power on there is a possibility of damage to the module or pins of the connector.  The HI 1756-FC, HI 1756-WS and HI 1756-2WS are the only Hardy modules that are hot swappable.
